About the Role

The Taiwan Science and Technology (S&T) Hub, affiliated with the Chemical Engineering Department, was established in 2023 to foster collaboration between Taiwan and Silicon Valley in science and technology. The Executive Director will lead Hub initiatives and enhance collaboration between the Taiwanese and Stanford communities, including building connections with local entrepreneurs and governmental entities.

This is a one-year, fixed-term position deemed critical by the School of Engineering Dean's Office.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and administer research activities by evaluating academic programs, making recommendations, and coordinating changes
- Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends to determine program effectiveness
- Write and edit content for proposals, publications, and other program activities
- Represent the program as the key contact and subject matter expert; develop internal and external communications
- Organize and participate in outreach activities including events, partnerships, fundraising, and conferences
- Monitor expenses, budgets, and finances of the program

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or combination of education, training, and relevant experience
- Demonstrated oral, written, and analytical skills with fluency in area of specialization
- Ability to oversee and provide direction to staff

This is an on-site, full-time, fixed-term position at Stanford, California.
